It depends on the job. A portable unit is designed for one room or area. Central HVAC filters are designed to filter air throughout a home, and an in-duct purifier works through that same ductwork. If you want cleaner air in every room rather than one, whole-home is the place to look.
Do you offer maintenance plans or financing?
Yes to both. Members of our Preventive Maintenance Program get two tune-ups a year, and air filter replacement is on the tune-up checklist. Financing options are available, subject to approved credit.
How do I know which option is right for my home?
Start with a visit. We look at your ductwork, airflow, insulation, and how your system performs, then recommend what will actually make a difference. The estimate is free, and there’s no pressure to buy anything at the end of it. Some homes need a purifier. Some just need a better filter and sealed ducts.
Will an air purifier fix a mold or musty smell problem?
No, and we would rather tell you that up front. The EPA is direct about it: mold comes from a water or moisture problem, and filters and air cleaners won’t resolve it. You have to fix the moisture source and clean up the mold. Sometimes the source is a leak. In a humid DFW summer, it can also be indoor humidity that a dehumidifier installation helps bring down. How much of my home does one Aerus unit cover?
One Air Scrubber is rated for up to 2,000 square feet nominal and 3,000 square feet maximum, with a recommended ceiling height of 10 feet or less. Larger homes or high ceilings may call for a different setup, and we’ll tell you if yours does.
